Nutcracker Parents

If you have not already done so, please be sure all performances and mandatory rehearsal dates are in your calendar. Below, you will also find more detailed breakdowns of rehearsal times and pick-ups. Click the drop-downs below to view these updates! You may notice that some rehearsals are specific to Act One or Act Two only.

The Scene Breakdown link below serves as a helpful guide to identify which scenes your dancer is in. Please use this to ensure your dancer attends the correct rehearsals and understands which Act(s) they are part of.

Finale Rehearsals will begin on Saturday, October 17th from 12:00–12:30pm and will continue through November 28th. This rehearsal time will appear in your Parent Portal if your dancer is required to attend.

✨ As we get into the rhythm of rehearsals, please keep in mind: Nutcracker is a rehearsal, not a class.
This means our focus is always on the current needs of the production. At times, dancers may be excused early or asked to wait patiently while another group or lead works. This is all part of show life, and we greatly appreciate your flexibility and your dancer’s commitment to the process.

Halloween Rehearsal Note
This year, Nutcracker rehearsals fall on Halloween! Similar to Cultivate, dancers are invited to wear costumes while still maintaining appropriate dance attire. Costumes must be removable if asked by the instructor, and dancers should be prepared to fully participate in rehearsal.

We recommend keeping costumes simple by adding small touches such as hair pieces, a simple prop, or fun character-inspired colors. Please avoid large or oversized costumes, multi-piece outfits, or anything that restricts movement. We encourage dancers to have fun while still supporting a focused and productive rehearsal environment.
